How would you deal with your child getting made fun of-1Gosh that makes me want to cry for him. I know how mean kids can be. I started getting bad acne in 3rd grade. I would say that help him with in your means. If you guys can afford contacts do it. They are a pain but my 13 year old has fianlly learned to put his in and loves being free from his glasses. I know we don't want to raise our children thinking that appearance is important but unfortunaley it is at their age. I would also encourage him to be involved in social activities, such as sports, that has boosted Hunter's self esteem tremendously. And he has made some great friends from his involvement in sports. If sports aren't his thing maybe local theatre. If he has an activity that he really enjoys it is easier to shake off the day to day BS.Anyway, I am so sorry he has to go through this. You could never give me enough money to go through middle and HS again. My dd is 9 and ges through this in 4th grade. I was quite honest and told her this was just the beginning - she will have to go through this for quite a while. I also to try not to take it personally (that's hard) and to try to give as good as she got. yes two wrongs don't make a right but generally most people are not doing this to be personally mean, but more to go with the flow of everyone else (unless you have a trendsetter). She is going to have to stop coming home crying and get a backbone hollister sale uk, this is the same child that gives me attitude - why can't she give it back to her peers?? During this age people will pick on you if your perfect in every way. Someone always find something hollister uk!Poor kid.My DD has glasses and was VERY awkward. She will be getting contacts this summer and is excited to show off her new look in the fall.I hate to say this, but take a good look at how he is dressing. My DD was able to "move up" by changing her wardrobe. I slowly bought the popular brands of clothes (not cheap, I know) like Abercrombie, American Eagle, Aeropostale, and Hollister.Aeropostale has awesome sales, too, so that is a good place to start. Look on Ebay, look on the clearance racks, this is what I do.I know that clothes do not make the man, but it does help.My DD is feeling much better at school and has lots of friends, and such. Fitting in is so important to them. She would LOVE a boyfriend, but I doubt it is happening this school year. Help your son "make over" himself over the summer. The fall is a good time to start fresh.I agree the clothing has a lot to do with how you fit in, unfortunately. I think it also helps their self esteem to be wearing the hot clothes too rather than everything from Target/Koh's/Penney's. My dd's only wear clothes from Abercrombie, Am Eagle, Hollisters, etc. I hate how much they cost.
